    • The National Technical Assistance Center on Positive Behavior and Intervention Supports was established to address the behavioral and discipline systems needed for successful learning and social development of students. The Center provides capacity-building information and technical support about behavioral systems to assist states and districts in the design of effective schools. The website describes the district and school-wide systems necessary for implementing positive behavioral supports.
    • SERC Positive Behavior Supports: The goal of the Positive Behavior Support (PBS) initiative is to provide educators and families with quality professional development to enhance their efforts in providing and sustaining a comprehensive continuum of behavior support. The goal of professional development is to build the capacity for school-based teams to support appropriate behavior at the school-wide, classroom, and individual level and to build districts' capacity for district-wide implementation.
  • Search Institute has conducted research for several decades to discover what children and adolescents need to become caring, healthy, and responsible adults. Grounded in extensive research in youth development, resiliency, and prevention, the 40 Developmental Assets represent the relationships, opportunities, and personal qualities that young people need to avoid risks and to thrive. Students with more assets are more likely to succeed academically and less likely to engage in risky behaviors. A section of the website provides resources for educators.
